This article highlights how to confirm your status when you RSVP to an opportunity through InvolveSoft.
Kindly note: that you must RSVP for each and every shift you plan to complete on the platform to receive volunteering credit and that you should RSVP prior to completing the activity as you cannot retroactively add hours.

How to RSVP for a Shift-based Event
- When you find an opportunity you want to RSVP to, select the Event. You can learn more about searching and finding events in this article.
- On the Event page, click on the Click here to sign up button
- You will see a popup appear with all the shifts available for the opportunity. It also states how many spots are available for any of the shifts and if any of the spots are on a waitlist by asking you to Join the waiting list.
- You can select one or more shifts that you want to go to. If your administrator has set the requirement, you will need to confirm your age. Also, if your administrator has permitted it, you can also add guests you want to invite to the opportunity by clicking on Add a guest button and click Confirm.
- (Optional Step) If your administrator has set this up, you would be required to accept certain terms before being able to RSVP. You will have to check I agree and click RSVP to be able to RSVP to the opportunity.
- You will get a message on the screen that confirms your RSVP there are spots left for the shift. You will also receive an RSVP email. Else, you will get waitlisted and will get a waitlist confirmation email. You can use the next screen to add the event to your calendar so that you don't forget! Then you can click on Done.
How to RSVP to an Ongoing Event
- When you find an opportunity you want to RSVP to, select the Event. You can learn more about searching and finding events in this article.
- On the event page,select the Click Here to Sign Up button (please note that once you have registered for an event once, the button will appear as Update in lieu of Click Here to Sign Up).
- Begin by selecting the date(s) of when you plan on participating.
- Since it is an ongoing opportunity, that means you can volunteer at any time that works best for your schedule. In the sign-up window, type in the date you will volunteer OR click on the down arrow to open up the calendar. In the calendar, you can click on the date you will volunteer.

- Then, select the time block you will allocate for volunteering.
- Under "Shift," click on the dropdown and select from one of the given time blocks you will spend on the virtual activity. For example, if you select "1-hour" from the Shift dropdown, you are committing to volunteering for 1-hour on the selected date.

- Click Confirm once you have completed the date(s) and time block(s) you will participate in the event.

- Upon signing up for the event, you will receive an RSVP confirmation email.
- (Optional Step) You can add the event to your schedule using the Add to Calendar button and following the steps. Click Done once complete
- After completing your event, your hours will be automatically recorded. Please note that by signing up for the event, you are committing to volunteering at the given date and for the specified amount of time.
